Is there any news on the possibility of having a sound at the beginning and end of items?

Hi everyone, I know James was against this, but I really liked the experiment he did last year about having a sound on the edges of an item. Have you guys changed your mind? Thanks!

There hasn't been any further discussion or work on this, but I haven't closed the pull request either. There's a lot of tricky issues to sort out, both user experience and technical, so if we do this at all, it's probably going to be a bit of a big lift. In any case, let's keep the discussion in the original pull request, which is #1100. Thanks.
