Free wallet download 2.0.4

I have free wallet on my desktop, I’ve never had a problem downloading an update. Im unable to download 2.0.4 it will not allow the Free wallet download on my computer. I have marked the file safe with Microsoft and filled out the form. The notification that I’m getting are as follows once I open and try to install “an error occurred while trying to replace the existing file”.
Normally all I have to do is hit download it does it and updates, but for some reason this update I’m having issues with. Can you help me or make suggestions?

Try clearing out your downloads folder n try again… sounds like it is having an issue writing the download

I cleared all my downloads. I went back to free wallet clicked download. I get to the installation and it continually says error when I hit try again it says an error occurred while trying to replace the existing file. Delete file failed; code 5 access is denied. I’m so frustrated. I have tried everything.
I also can’t get a current read on my balance. It has not updated in weeks. I’ve signed out and signed back in still the same balance.

Are you trying to do the download from within freewallet or are you trying to download directly from the latest releaes page at
https://github.com/jdogresorg/freewallet-desktop/releases/tag/v2.0.4

If your trying t update from within freewallet, try downloading the FreeWallet.win64.exe file from the above page and once it is downloaded try running it.

If your already trying to download the file directly and still having issues, then the issue is with something on your computer (malware, anti-virus, etc) preventing the download and it is not something that is a problem with freewallet but rather an issue with your specific computer.

Perhaps your server settings are incorrect…. Go into the server settings, screen and click the reset to default button, then close FreeWallet and reopen it and see if that resolves the issue.
