ForgeJo backend

Anyone aware of a ForgeJo backend? Would be useful for pulling from Codeberg as well as self-hosted git forges. I was going to dive right in into implementing one but figured I'd ask first if someone already has one 90% complete stashed somewhere.

I was trying to install something from a Codeberg release with mise. Looks like ubi added support for Codeberg/Forgejo, so I think it's just a matter of stitching it correctly together so that it works at least via ubi backend. It might even be good enough to allow forgejo as provider together with setting the codeberg api_url

Thank you for your work :) At the moment I don't have time to dig into mise. I just ran into this problem, found this discussion and want to leave all the information I found in case @jinnatar still wants to work on it.
So, from this comment it looks like the only difference between the github and codeberg API is that one field in the response is called browser_download_url instead of url (for each asset). That's the reason it won't work in mise with ubi when you specify the github backend with the codeberg api_url.
I don't know anything about the internals of mise but it seems like it should either just work when forgejo is allowed as provider, or maybe there must be a little bit of mapping.

With Zig recently moving to Codeberg and people getting more sensitive about digital sovereignty, it might make sense to have a ForgeJo implementation similar to GitHub/GitLab. We first will need to check if the API provides all features we require, if so it should only be a matter of implementing the API and adding it. In the short term if UV already has support it might be a faster route providing support via UV first.
