Unable to stream from Jellyfin to DLNA TV

Jellyfin 10.10.7 and DLNA plugin 8.0.0.0

DLNA works if I browse from my TV, however I am unable to initiate stream to the TV from Jellyfin webpage. I can see that TV is linked in to right hand corner:

I just keep getting this error in the log:

Can anyone suggest a fix, or what I maybe doing wrong?

The logs don't really help. The only thing that can be read from it, is, that the Renderer obv. returned an error when it received the "play" command.
There are plenty of reasons from "not supported" to "network communication error".

Are both devivces in the same network and vlan?
Do you use https on Jellyfin?
Do you use a reverse proxy in front of Jellyfin with TLS?

My advice is to run a tcpdump to capture the actual communication stream between the two devices. That sould give you more insight as the strack trace.

Both devices are on the same local network, only using http with no reverse proxy. I can view the DLNA folders and stream correctly when accessed from the TV or from another DLNA client. It's only when I use the Jellyfin web interface that I can't use the remote control feature and initiate the stream from the web browser to the TV. Have attached tcpdump, but not sure I can see what's going wrong?

Are you sure your TV support DLNA streaming? A quick search on the web makes me think it does not. Which also would explain the 500 error response you get.
DLNA streaming is not the same functionality as DLNA client - the latter is used to connecto to JF from your TV. Just that JF is displaying your TV as potential renderer isn't enough as JF obv does not know about a DLNA device's capabilities.

The TV supports DLNA play to, as have been using it with Emby. It just doesn't seem to work with Jellyfin.

Several days later, you're no longer alone TAVR. I have three TVs and a DLNA speaker, none of which work with Jellyfin. Error 500 too. All my devices work with Synology Audiostation.

After configuring the network settings correctly, I can stream audio to my network speaker, but the player never shows up in my browser (tested with Firefox and Chrome). I can control the volume, but I can't see time, and I can't move through time.
