Bug Description

Issue

  • On Roku, the playback CC menu shows None as selected while Signs/Songs are still visibly displayed on screen.
  • This happens with MKV episodes that have two English PGS subtitle tracks.
  • There is also a mismatch between the subtitle information shown on the episode detail/info screen and the subtitle options shown during playback
  • Both the iOS player and the web browser behave correctly.

Observed behavior:

  1. The episode detail/info screen shows both subtitle tracks correctly.
  2. During playback, the CC menu shows None selected.
  3. Despite that, Signs/Songs subtitles are still displayed.
  4. The playback CC menu shows only one subtitle track even though the episode detail screen shows both.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Use an MKV file with two English PGS subtitle tracks.
  2. Set the subtitle tracks like this:
    Signs/Songs - English -> default=yes
    Full -English -> default=no
  3. In Roku system settings, set subtitles to Off.
  4. Open the item in Jellyfin for Roku and view the episode detail/info screen.
  5. Confirm that both subtitle tracks are listed there.
  6. Start playback of the same item.
  7. Open the Roku playback CC/subtitle menu.
  8. Observe that:
    None is selected
    Signs/Songs subtitles are still visible on screen
    Only one subtitle track is listed in the playback menu

Expected Behavior

  1. If None is selected, no subtitles should be displayed.
  2. Subtitle listings should be consistent between the detail screen and playback CC menu.

Logs
