Previously active subtitles won't show up after changing bit rates #7417

Describe the bug
If you select any subtitle track on any bit rate video stream and then switch to a different bit rate, the subtitle track stays active and selected in the menu but it disappears visually until selecting an alternative one (you cannot select the already "active" one).
This behavior only seems to affect Chromium browsers (tested on Chrome and Edge)
Reproduction Steps
- Play a video with subtitles on
- Change bit rates OR sound track
- Observe the subtitles not showing up by default, despite staying selected
Expected/Actual behaviour
After any change in the video-audio stream, the selected subtitle track should stay visible and active. It failed to do so.
