Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
On macOS, downloaded videos don’t always preview correctly in Finder (Quick Look) or play seamlessly in QuickTime Player. I’m often frustrated when I have to manually choose compatible codecs for each download.
Describe the solution you'd like
Add a setting to choose default codecs for downloads. A macOS preset using:
- Video: H.264 (avc1.4D401F / latest available)
- Audio: AAC (mp4a.40.2 / latest available)
would ensure automatic compatibility with system preview and playback.
Describe alternatives you've considered
Manually selecting codecs per download works but is repetitive. Converting files afterward with external tools adds extra steps.
Additional context
Having macOS-friendly codecs as default (or a one-click preset) would greatly improve usability.
