Privacy issues

There are a few privacy issues with this app that prevents me and other users from using it for anything serious.

• No encryption: Why not have integrated encryption? Having no encryption on such personal software is a turn-off for many. Asking people to use LUKS or GPG to workaround these issues is unfeasible.
• Metadata: they should be reduced to a minimum and should be integrated with the data all in one file, so they can be encrypted too.
• Logging: there is no way of disabling logging, and everything typed is collected in that file.

Lifeograph addresses these issues very well, hence why I keep recommending that one, but this app has big potential. Privacy should be a priority IMO because people who use such software do care about privacy and they would not accept a plain text journal app. People who don't care about privacy will likely use something more eye-candy. Fixing this issues and making this software a private journaling app would be a major selling point and would expose this app to a wider audience.
