markdown --> odt | tex_math_dollars | chemistry formula export | issue with "-" and "+" exponent

Hello, i have an issue with the "-" and "+" exponent with chemistry formulas.
A am using Zettlr and pandoc to export the markdown to odt
This what i have under Zettlr :

I get that with the LaTeX notation :
$HCO_3^-/CO3^{2-}$
When i export, the formulas are handled quite good, exept for the "-" and "+" exponent, here is what i get :

In the formulas editor of Writer i get this :
{ H C O ^ - 3 / C O ^ { 2 - } 3 }
And when i change it for this :
{ H C O ^ "-" 3 / C O ^ { 2 "-" } _ 3 }
Then the formula is better :

What do you think ?
Maybe a bad syntax from me ?
An issue with the tex_math_dollars extension ?

When I fix it in the way you describe, adding the quotes, and look at the mathml in the saved file, I see this:

The salient difference is that we have mtext rather than mo wrapping the minus sign. I have no idea why that should make a difference. mo is the correct thing to use here, as far as I can see.

I would report this to LibreOffice as a bug.

But as a workaround, if you put \text{..} around the minus sign in your tex, pandoc should convert it to this representation.

Tried with Word online, indeed no issue either with odt export or docx export.
Right, \text{..} do the job as a workaround.
