Disable figure creation on wikilinks (markdown+wikilinks_title_after_pipe)

Take these two markdown documents:

Running these through the AST gives me respectively

I am using a Lua filter to handle some special directives, the center|500 inside each wikilink. It's a bit obtuse to match on wikilinks with them creating a figure. Is there a way to disable the fact that a wikilink under markdown+wikilinks_title_after_pipe creates a figure? The markdown string on its own ![](tole.png) creates no such figure.
