• draw.io desktop 28.2.7 stable release cannot be started anymore on Ubuntu 24.04 #2233 , Recent files cannot be opened when theme is set to "simple" #2221 , automatic synchronization feature #2227
• Uses electron 38.4.0. Support for macOS 11 is now end of life.
• Updates to draw.io core 28.2.8. All changes from 28.2.8 are added in this build.

For Ubuntu users with issues, there seems to be a bug with 28.2.8 and Wayland.
I reverted back to 28.2.5 by uninstalling snap 28.2.8 version and running the AppImage version (drawio-x86_64-28.2.5.AppImage) and it works.

Dont forget to "chmod +x drawio-x86_64-28.2.5.AppImage"

We've removed all the post 28.2.5 linux builds.

Today i see this in the snap repositories:

Yesterday it was 28.2.8
Looks like Ubuntu devs have reverted back.
i have tested this snap and it works.

Yes, that's correct. The linux builds are being held back at 28.2.5 due to build issues.

Hi, it seems that the issues with Ubuntu have been fixed, and new releases with .deb builds had been made but now reverted back. Probably .deb builds can already be added to this release?

Indeed. But this is no longer the latest release - this release has in some way been removed from https://github.com/jgraph/drawio-desktop/releases ?

they can't be added back to that build. That, tagged, build failed running on linux.
