Why does the web version display a template selection window when creating new items, while the desktop version doesn't?

When we remove the templates online we left a state flag in there to indicate the user saw them so not to have a change in behaviour. If you try a different browser or incognito/private window, you shouldn't then see it online.

My understanding is that the desktop version doesn't have the template selection feature at all—is that correct?

Under the "+" toolbar button. But the templates are rubbish anyway, needs a re-work.

Thank you! I found where to add templates. The template designs actually look quite good and can meet the needs of simple daily use.
