Description

- I have searched the issue tracker for a feature request that matches the one I want to file, without success.
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
I feel as though my workflow would be considerably faster if I could "tab" through the properties of a shape (or line) and input numbers quickly. Currently, this is my exact list of replicable steps:
- Ctrl+N new diagram.
- D new rectangle, and Click to select.
- (if not already visible) Ctrl+Shift+P to show Format pane on right edge.
- Click "Arrange" for precise details about the rectangle.
- Click in Size: Width, the first of four useful boxes that measure my shape in whatever unit set.
- After typing my desired value (say, 1" wide), Tab jumps out of the menu entirely.
Describe the solution you'd like
It would make my life as a user so much better if Tab saved my input value and placed the edit cursor in Position: Height. Then, corresponding, after I enter a value, another Tab would send me to Position: Left, then I can enter a value and Tab to Position: Top
Describe alternatives you've considered
As far as I know, the only alternative is entering a value, and then grabbing the mouse and clicking the next box to do the same thing for times. Four clicks to change a shape to where I want it.
Additional context
I have replicated this issue on both Mac OSX and Windows. There is a minor "jumpy" animation when I press tab, and it seems to "want to" go to the next box, but the cursor soon ejects and disappears.
