New tab automatically focuses cursor on URL textbox

Enabling or disabling the option 'Always update tab, not redirect (Enable for cursor in the address bar)' has no effect for me. I use Vimium, and I prefer not to have the focus on the address bar for obvious reasons.

I ran into this same issue. I think what may be sufficient for Vimium's purposes is for this extension to add an option to focus the tab's page once the tab is created, so that the omnibar does not retain focus.

I was unable to get the page's javascrpit to take focus from the omnibar. I haven't tested whether the extension's javascript can.
