How to track/add deleted files?

I renamed a file on disk. Jujutsu showed the old one as deleted and the new one as added (probably because of #47).

However, when doing an interactive split and including the deleted file, it is nonetheless skipped and didn't get added to the new earlier commit. Trying to get the deletion into the previous commit (which has the added "new" file) with jj squash --interactive also doesn't work.

How can I merge a file deletion change into a changeset?

Sounds like #3702. You should be able to work around it by doing jj squash <deleted file> after the split.
