How to monitor .jj for changes

I'm working on a notify-feature for lazyjj so that a jj command in another terminal will cause the lazyjj display to update.

For this I monitor the .jj folder, but it generates quite a lot of changes. Is there some file that is better to watch than others?
My main concern is anything that change @ (like "jj edit") or anything that changes the log graph.

Looking for new files in .jj/repo/op_heads/heads/ should work, but note that .jj/repo may be a file if you're in a non-main workspace. Also note that .jj/repo/op_heads/heads/ only exists when using the default "op heads" backend, so it won't work to monitor that in internal repos at Google, for example.

Oh, good point! We update that even if the working copy doesn't change, so that should work.
