Is there a way to sponsor this project? I've benefited from jj and would like to donate

(And if #8052 or #80 are resolved, I'd likely donate again because they'd make my life a little easier)

There's currently no way to sponsor work on this project as independence from Google is needed. Hopefully the Governance will be able to solve this in the future.

There are some individual contributors you can sponsor on GH Sponsors or KoFi. Perhaps I'll let them self-advertise, not to forget somebody. I think it'd be fine and good for them to mention themselves in this thread (or maybe we should make a Wiki page)?

I don't know if any of the people related to the features you mentioned can be sponsored, though.

And, as Philip pointed out, you can't sponsor the project itself.
