Episode matching fails if Series Name starts with a number

I got the following wrong matches:

Processing Episode Subtitle "12 Monkeys - S01E01 - Splinter.en.srt" (48.48KB)
select match
 _ 12 Monkeys - 01x12 - Paradox
   Rocket Monkeys - 01x12 - Monkey Hearts
   skip
   quit

This is with the default TVMaze but TVDb gives me similarly wrong results. They both seem to assume that the 12 which comes from the series name is the episode number.

Fun thing is that the file name is already in the format that mnamer would output (by default), so this is a case where mnamer cannot match its own (default) output.

Btw. this does not only happen for the subtitle files but also for the films itself.
