Apple Live Photos support

Does elodie have support for Apple Live Photos format?

Apple Live Photos consists of a JPEG/HEIC image and a QuickTime AVC/HEVC video, so I assume such case of image+video should be covered in a different way inside the elodie's workflow automations.

If the answer is no, I would be willing to submit a Pull Request. In that case, could you please point me to where should I start digging in the source code (in regards to handling the image+video case specifically).

I have not tested HEVC support but adding new media types is not very hard.

1. Add it as a supported type in video.py
2. Update the test for extensions in video_test.py

Depending on the logic, if much new code is added then a corresponding test would be good to add. Sometimes there isn't any new code needed.

If it requires a lot of new code then I would consider adding it as a plugin but let's see what it looks like to add it natively.

Question: Are the heic/hevc files separate or are they bundled together?

Apple live photos are .mov extensions and they are presented as separated files (bundle HEIC + MOV). MOV of the bundle doesn't have any EXIF information, so I think the only requirement is that, both HEIC and MOV files keep the same name. Would that cover the case @techquestions ?

Whenever they are exported from the iPhone to another platform they are already extracted in different files. Just did a quick search and I was wrong about the name. The main item that allow photos to get "bundled" back or linked to appear as a live photo is the key metadata "ContentIdentifier", that apparently needs to be identical.

Right now, if you airdrop a Live Photo without any file conversion then it is transferred as a folder. As far as this library is concerned, they're two individual files - one photo and one video.

Is the proposal here to have this library do something different? If so, could you elaborate what that might be?
