Software license is too strict

I don't think my employer would ever consider using GPL v3 software.
Is there any way you can lighten the licensing restriction to Apache License version 2.0?

What is your use case ?
I consider switching to LGPL https://www.gnu.org/licenses/lgpl-3.0.fr.html as a compromise .

I am not considering it for myself right now, but in general, for software that I use, I prefer to have less restrictions.
