Problem

• 51 posts (37%) missing featured images
• 82% of media items missing alt text
• 4 empty categories in navigation
• 21 posts with empty content

Solution

1. Featured Images

Prioritize by recency/importance:

• All 2025-2026 posts should have featured images
• Use consistent branded images or create templates

2. Alt Text

• Prioritize images in high-traffic posts
• Use descriptive alt text (not just "image" or filename)
• Consider AI-assisted bulk generation for efficiency

3. Empty Categories

Either hide from navigation or populate:

• Media Coverage (0 posts)
• Member News (0 posts)
• Newsletters (0 posts)
• Technical Specifications (0 posts)

4. Empty Content Posts

Review 21 posts with no content - unpublish or populate.

Impact

• Accessibility (WCAG compliance)
• Image SEO signals
• Better social sharing appearance
• Cleaner site structure

Acceptance Criteria

• All 2025-2026 posts have featured images
• Top 20 posts have complete alt text
• Empty categories removed from nav or populated
• Empty posts reviewed and resolved

Deprioritizing this one — it's a content task rather than dev work.

Alt text and featured images are nice-to-have but not critical right now. Will revisit if we do an SEO or accessibility push later.
