Feature Request: Import/Export data

Hi and thanks for the project!

As I have seen, it's possible to import and export all data including the configuration in json format. I would like to suggest a new feature for importing and exporting user data e.g. via csv. I mean something similar to the functionality in Clockify, where is possible to import multiple projects, clients, tasks, tags, and time entries from a csv file.

Hi there! Thanks for the question. No this is not possible. I assume that clockify just exports just simple one dimensional timesheets, but Super Productviy does a little more and the data is a little more complex, so is so this is not possible.

But you can export your data as csv already from the worklog. Not sure if you knew already :)

Sorry, I don't. How can I do this? I did export the data from: Settings > Global Settings > Sync & Export > Import/Export in json.

This currently works on a project tag/level. So you have to hover the project of your choice in the left hand menu and click the three little dots. Than you have to select "Worklog". There you can use the upward/right pointing arrows to export the data. This is currently limited to a per month basis.

I'd like to have something similar to the csv export from the worklog, but for all projects. I saw that there was a feature request for this quite some time ago already. As I need the data for invoicing etc. and because exporting each single project manually is quite exhausting I think of parsing the JSON file and gather the data like this. Is this format somewhat stable or are there plans to change this format with future releases?

Thanks for your tip and info. I have been using Superproductivity for two months now and I would like to push the data collected with it to my "legacy" time tracking database (which I also use for invoicing). In the worklog for the tag "Today" I can see all the tasks I have worked on, but the information to which project the tasks belong is missing. This information is present in the worklog when I call it up via the projects, but then only one project comes up at a time. What I need is the information of the today worklog together with the project for each task. Is there a way to get it without me processing the JSON file?
