Old version overwrites newer version (likely because a app open is seen as a new version) #4228

Description

@tegridyfarmer

Your Environment

  • Version used: Flatpak 12.0.2
  • Operating System and version: Fedora 41
  • Desktop Environment: KDE Plasma 6.3.4

Expected Behavior

The app should always return the most up-to-date data (not just the last opend one)

Current Behavior

The program where the app was was last opend counts as the more up-to-date one which results in sometimes syncing older versions.

Steps to Reproduce (for bugs)

  1. Close and open app on device 1..
  2. Close and open app on device 2 and add a task.
  3. Close and open app on device 1.
  4. Device 2 will overwrite the data and not show the new task.

Can you reproduce this reliably?

It occured to me at least twice.
