Battery not charging during low-price periods after midnight #76

Description

@johanzander

Description

After the system runs past midnight, it stops charging the battery during overnight low-price periods even though prices are favorable. The schedule shows GRID_CHARGING intent for those periods but the inverter does not appear to receive the commands.

Steps to reproduce

  1. System runs normally during the day
  2. After midnight the optimizer re-runs for the new day
  3. Low-price hours (typically 02:00–05:00) show GRID_CHARGING in the UI
  4. Battery SOC does not increase during those hours
  5. Service log shows no set_time_segment calls being made

Expected behaviour

Battery should charge during the low-price overnight window as indicated by the schedule.

Actual behaviour

Battery stays at whatever SOC it ended the previous day at. No inverter commands issued for the GRID_CHARGING periods.

Environment

  • BESS Manager version: 8.4.1
  • Inverter type: Growatt MIN
  • Price provider: Nordpool SE3
