unable to remove twitter userid #929

Like many folks I have abandoned twitter. I tried awhile ago to remove my twitter id from my profile... but was surprised to see it was still there. Today I tried to remove it again and confirmed that if you blank out the value and hit save, it posts it as empty and the post returns a 200 success, but the old value is still there.
Tangentially related, you can put anything in there, including things that aren't valid twitter handles.
