PSI Theme and additional functionalities

A discussion surrounding the poster project of @elinscott sparked some new development and the addition of a new showcase. I have since then added some new functionality to PoP and would like to discuss further Ideas on how to extend PoP such that the theme for PSI is easily accessible. This might be very interesting for other universities/institutions as well.

Hi @jonaspleyer thanks again for taking the time to reverse-engineer my poster, it's great to have it up on the website!

Looking at the way you implemented it, I am a bit disappointed at the amount of code that still needs to reside inside of main.typ. Ideally, wanting to create a PSI poster using this theme would only have to provide their title, author list etc. The current preamble in main.typ also makes it harder to implement the different colour variants of PSI posters, for which the background image changes from one variant to the next.

This may not be your vision for this package, but in my opinion pop.title-box() needs to be more flexible and customisable from one theme to the next.

Thanks for the Feedback! I agree that it is mainly the title-box() command which needs work. I will see how much work I can get done. There are some other things which are also on my priority list in the meantime.

I briefly revisited this issue now. I think that the most straight-forward way to solve this issue is to add another function such as pop.title-badge-box(...) which may have similar arguments to the pop.title-box(...) but produces the desired result.

When it comes to the pop.bottom-box(...) I think that this problem can be solved more easily.

The preamble should be dealt with by a show rule.

I currently do not have the time to go in more detail for these problems. Just leaving my thoughts here for myself for later use.
