[Feature Request]: Have new menubar items appear in always shown, or customizable

(disclaimer: I did a quick search and don't think I saw existing issues, sorry if this is a repeat!)

New menubar items always go straight to the always-hidden bar, which is not the ideal default behavior, and I would have to open settings, and then manually move it to always-shown. I would strongly appreciate if the new items can default to always-shown, or have an option to let users decide. Thank you!

+1 - I'd rather all my new menu bar icons show by default, and I can then triage them into the correct spots.
