When I checked for updates in the app, it said I was up to date and there is no option to install a beta version. So I downloaded it from github using the links provided and now have a second Ice app installed.

Is this a complete replacement for the original app (I should delete the older version) or is it just a temporary application for this beta release and I should keep the original app to move back to later?

Ice is still very broken for me on Tahoe. Clicking the Ice icon in the menu-bar while it's running just crashes the app instead of revealing the second bar as I had it set to do. Do we know what the timeline is for a stable release? I am not particularly interested in switching to beta releases if I can help it :P

The beta fixes it for me on Tahoe 26.1, however new slightly unusual behavior with this beta, the floating bar stays sometimes even though the cursor is away from the Menu Bar and you have to click on the Door Ice icon to make it go away. (mild annoyance - nothing major - just reporting).
