fpm ignoring --log level

I passed the flag --log error to both the fpm command and the .fpm file, but I'm still seeing the following console logs emit:

Additional options: --log=error -s dir --name buttery --version 0.0.22 --description a video editor with manual motion smoothing --url https://github.com/mcandre/buttery --maintainer Andrew Pennebaker n4jm4@pm.me --license BSD-3 {level: :warn}

As no error has occurred, I would expect none of these lines to emit, neither to stdout nor stderr.
