[Question] Integrating with another theme and asciidoc

I'm trying to include some slides in my website for a class I'm teaching. I added the necessary frontmatter attributes (outputs: ["Reveal"]) to one such page that should be converted to slides. The page renders as a single slide unfortunately. The strategy of adding horizontal rules / thematic breaks do create slides does not seem to work in asciidoc

So I gave up trying to get this to work w/ asciidoc(tor). Asciidoctor has a reveal js plugin, far exceeding this theme in its integration w/ reveal and asciidoc. Instead of building my slides with hugo and this theme, I've switched to the plugin. Con: I can't use any hugo features in my slides.
