Could underscore have a parameter to split at numbers?#30

If I have a string 'xyzABC' it will convert to xyz_abc
If I have a string 'xyz123' it currently doesn't convert, and remains 'xyz123'. I'd like an option to convert to 'xyz_123', ie split at a change from alpha to numeric
