download through proxy

Is it possible to use yumsync through a (https) proxy? I've tried to export http_proxy but then got an error.

I just tested and it looks like yumsync respects http_proxy and https_proxy from the environment as long as your underlying libcurl and urllib2 from the executing python respect those vars. I tested on the default versions that are available in centos6 and confirmed I could force yumsync through a squid proxy for both http and https connections.
