macOS Apple Silicon (Sequoia 15) - request for native AU/VST3 build + small macOS fixes

first of all: thank you so much for Signalizer! It’s still my favorite oscilloscope. I really appreciate the amount of work that went into it, and I would be happy to pay/donate for a maintained macOS build.

Setup

• MacBook Pro 13" (M1, 2020), 16 GB
• macOS Sequoia 15.7.1
• Ableton Live 12.2.5 (Universal)
• mostly using the AU

What I see

• macOS is picky about non-notarized plugins on Sequoia
• window can get “stuck” (fullscreen / size)
• sometimes UI values don’t match what I set (colors etc.)

Would be amazing

1. native Apple Silicon / universal AU+VST3
2. build with the updated JUCE/toolchain you mentioned
3. notarized macOS build
4. small macOS UI fixes

I'm not sure the software will ever be notarized. I know it's a hassle for end users, but it doesn't seem sustainable with the ongoing expenses Apple charges for this.

Oh and for your specific issues, feel free to break them into separate issues with explanations, that makes it clearer for anyone fixing it

Mr Thorborg. THANK YOU for this plugin. I came by it absolutely by divine favor. I was debating whether or not I should save up for Oszillos Mega Scope or Minimeters because all I wanted to do was to be able to see what my compressor was doing to a signal/waveform like shown in this video: https://youtu.be/0OXBs91Lh2c?si=sOQ9PaSKZPmCIbsj

I eventually messaged Minimeters today to see if it had the capability and while waiting for a response and continuing to search for THEIR TUTORIAL I saw the thumbnail of this video: https://youtu.be/YAE5N2h6kd4?si=MEtc-St-RJaoRUcs

I've spent the last hour trying to install it and I was finally successful. I'm currently trying to figure out how to slow down the speed of the Oscilloscope so the waveform isn't moving so fast then after that try and see if I can watch the real time effects of a compressor on the signal using overlay.

I'll take any instructional advice to accomplish this but all in all, THANK YOU for saving me a TON of money I didn't already have to spend on the Mega Scope or Minimeters especially because the dollar exchange rate where I am is HORRENDOUS.

Off to figure out if I can see compression in real time.

EDIT: I've tried to change the time mode to cycles and it slows down, which is what I want it to do so I have time to watch the effects of the compressor (still trying to figure that out as well) , but after a few seconds it

hey @k-srvHs, the effect you're seeing is the cycles mode trying to find a fundamental. It looks at the end of the signal, and if there's nothing it defaults to a very low frequency giving a very large time window effectively (until something reaches the end of the window). But it's not a good solution as you can see.

In general Signalizer, due to the freeze modes and perfect detail, works better on smaller windows - or put differently, with larger windows you pay a larger cost. But there's an escape hatch in the global settings, where you can increase the size of the window as much as you want:

Thank you for this. If I may ask, how can I setup a second instance of Signalizer so that I see the effects of a compressor before and after? I've tried to use the graph editor but I can barely see the waveform of the second instance even after changing the colours. It all becomes white. I appreciate the help.
