White screen on MPI3501

I tried both this repo and #76 and neither worked. I made sure to get rid of any mention of the previous drivers from config.txt but I just continued to get a white screen, despite it seeming to enter the main loop.

The driver I originally installed was: https://github.com/goodtft/LCD-show
This is my TFT display, it seems to be an MPI3501 so that's what I set when building:

I'm having similar issues with MPI2801, there seems to be a common problem

I notice the Chip Select is low active, is there a way to set this when building?
