Contributor License Agreement

By submitting a pull request or other contribution to this project, you agree to the following terms:

  1. Grant of rights. You grant Julien Simon (the "Maintainer") a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable license to use, reproduce, modify, distribute, sublicense, and relicense your contributions, in any form and for any purpose, including under licenses other than AGPL-3.0.

  2. Original work. You represent that your contribution is your original work and that you have the right to grant the above license. If your employer has rights to intellectual property you create, you represent that you have received permission to make the contribution on behalf of your employer.

  3. No obligation. The Maintainer is under no obligation to accept, merge, or use your contribution.

  4. AGPL stays. The open source version of this project will remain available under AGPL-3.0. This CLA enables the Maintainer to additionally offer commercial licenses to third parties.

Why this CLA exists

This project uses dual licensing: free under AGPL-3.0 for the community, with commercial licenses available for organizations that need different terms. For dual licensing to work, the Maintainer must have the right to relicense all code in the project. This CLA grants that right for your contributions while ensuring the open source version remains free.
