Huge memory consumption when indexing

Hi

I just installed fzf for the first time on macos 15.4. When running, it seems to index my hard drive.
It consumes a lot of memory more than 144 GB

fzf just traverses the directory and load the entries into memory for interactive search. So if you have lots of files, yes, memory usage can grow significantly. But you can just stop fzf. I'd avoid running fzf on my system root.

144GB sounds like a lot though, maybe there are cyclic links that the directory walker of fzf is unable to prune?
