Onboard JupyterLite

Recently JupyterLite was adopted by the Frontends council as part of the Frontends subproject. This issue tracks the onboarding.

Action items:

• Adopt new org to https://github.com/enterprises/jupyter/
  • Add the org to the enterprise org
  • Update the enterprise org readme
• Add new org to Jupyter governance docs: Add JupyterLite to Jupyter Frontends jupyter/governance#318
• Notify Jupyter Executive Council (via private email to the EC mailing list)
• Add pypi packages to the jupyter pypi org
  • Create a jupyterlite team under the jupyter pypi org with permissions to the jupyterlite packages
  • Invite members of the jupyterlite team to the jupyter pypi org
• Potentially add members to the Frontends council
• Publish a blog post? This is big news!
• Update the docs, where it says "Although JupyterLite is currently being developed by core Jupyter developers, the project is still unofficial."
  • Remove status section from README jupyterlite/jupyterlite#1814 or Update docs to mention JupyterLite is part of Jupyter jupyterlite/jupyterlite#1815

Optional?

• Add plausible analytics to high-traffic sites (docs, sites)
  • Add plausible stats to docs jupyterlite/jupyterlite#1816

@jtpio - I think eventually we would want the pypi packages to be under the pypi jupyter org. I suggest we set up a JupyterLite team in the pypi jupyter org that has permissions to the packages. Thoughts? How disruptive would it be to do a transition, or is there other work that needs to be done before transferring the packages on pypi to the jupyter pypi org?

It should be smooth normally, as long as the move keeps the existing trusted publishers (which I think it does).

On the plausible side - what high-traffic sites are part of the jupyterlite project? For example, docs pages?

Perhaps we can put plausible stats on the demo jupyterlab and jupyter notebook sites, like https://jupyterlite.readthedocs.io/en/stable/_static/lab/index.html ?

We would just need to insert two script tags on the page. Is there an easy way to do that?

FYI, we have about 15k daily users going to jupyter.org/try
