The PHOENIX model and other models are not downloadable due to a website error.

I don't have a solution to your issue, but I've been running into the same problem finding the original models. The BT-Settl models were developed by Dr. France Allard, who unfortunately passed in 2020. She had several sets of models that were available at the, now defunct, website https://lydu.ens-lyon.fr/phoenix/

I've been trying to track down these original model files from the Lyon webpage, but have not found much luck yet. If you've found anything, I'd love to get in contact at zway1@gsu.edu.

As for the HiRes PHOENIX models, I was able to download the them through FTP access under this link: https://phoenix.astro.physik.uni-goettingen.de/

I think the same Kurucz and Castelli and Kurucz models can be found at the following two links

but I'll be honest I care mostly about cool dwarfs so I usually ignore these models.

Hello.

Right, as @zachway said, the lyon website is now defunct. I have personally saved some of those models personally, but not all. I believe you can still find them on the SVO (Spanish Virtual Observatory) website: https://svo2.cab.inta-csic.es/theory/newov2/

Though you can't use them directly with ARIADNE since they need resampling.

I'll eventually update the README with this info, and maybe a script to download and resample the spectra.

@zachway I do have some of these models, as I said. Are you looking for anything in particular? We could get in touch and help you out, if the SVO website isn't what you need or whatever other reason.

I've been able to get the original files for the BT-Settl CIFIST2011 models described on page 3 of these conference proceedings: https://sf2a.eu/proceedings/2016/2016sf2a.conf..0223A.pdf

However, I'm struggling to recover the original files for the other models. In particular, the BT-Settl AGSS2009 and BT-Settl CIFIST2011 2015 seem to be popular in the literature. I've also seen BT-NextGen used in several places.

These last three models are all on SVO like you mentioned, but I'd like to obtain the original files at some point. I've noticed some weird inconsistencies on the SVO versions of the spectra. I'd like to eventually host these models somewhere for people to download as needed.

I regret not downloading all files. Back then I didn't have the hard drive space for it.
I'd be more than happy to host them too, but I lack infra other than... my home's network. So that's not happening.

I'll try to search for the spectra myself and see if I have any luck.
