Add checkinstall instructions

As a neat way to generate a .deb/.rpm file, checkinstall can be used to create one. There are a bunch of options that need to be configured as it has gotten to be more complex than it was several years ago when the original install instructions were written. Far more default options should be specified to make it easier on the user to install via checkinstall.
