adding a sub-family

I was wondering where an expert can add a subfamily if needed; or is this something I would have to do, if they wish to have one (and they did not provide it through the template...)

ok , for a new taxon it is clear; but if they want to add the subfamily later on, this is not possible?
Again I have now idea how often this occurs...

Not sure what I should test here...
Shall we just wait until the problem actually occurs (i.e. someone wants to change the subfamily of an existing species)?
