Issues with python3

Folks,
When I try to use the library with python3, after parsing the APRS message I get no data.
Absolutely no issues with python2.7
Any ideas why ???

For this python script:

packet_str ="OGN2FD00F>OGNTRK,qAS,LZHL:/093213h4848.78N/01708.32E'000/000/A=000538 !W12! id072FD00F -058fpm +0.0rot FL003.12 32.8dB 0e -0.8kHz gps3x5"

libfap.fap_init()
packet = libfap.fap_parseaprs(packet_str, len(packet_str), 0)
print ('%s ==> %s' % (packet[0].src_callsign, packet[0].body))
libfap.fap_free(packet)
libfap.fap_cleanup()

on Python2 provides the following output:
OGN2FD00F ==> /093213h4848.78N/01708.32E'000/000/A=000538 !W12! id072FD00F -058fpm +0.0rot FL003.12 32.8dB 0e -0.8kHz gps3x5
as expected, however using python3 gives the following output:
None ==> None

Any ideas why ???
