Feature request: Connector for aluminium profiles

It would be nice to have a connector for aluminum 20x20 for longer spans or heavier shelves, think loaded AMS or Space PI X4

There's not much that is set in stone but the base_unit, base_strength, lock_pin_size and tolerances.

can you elaborate a bit more: Would you like to change the entire 15mm standard to 20mm or only for certain applications?

No, the standard is great as is.

Here I mean connectors for long horizontal stretches that I know will be under load, so they will have tendency to bend downwards over time.

Vertical - is still Homeracker 3d printed pillar (I don't think it has a load problem) :-)
Horizontal - is a connector for the 2020 profile (https://www.amazon.de/2020-extrusion/s?k=2020+extrusion)

Note: 1515 and 1010 extrusions exist as well, if it makes it easier, but they are not as widely used / available

Basically, I want to be able to replace long 3d printed beams with metal 😄 In order to place a loaded AMS on top.

THANKS for the clarification.
I think that would make a lot of sense.
Especially when space is scarce.
I just sketched some Trusses for the 19" use case to bear more load. But this would be the safer choice.
I'll definitely keep this issue in my backlog.
