Parser for brew search?

Would it be viable to have a parser for macOS' brew?

For example, when I issue

brew search git

I get

==> Formulae
bagit                                    git-tig
bash-git-prompt                          git-tools
[...]

==> Casks
adobe-digital-editions                   gitkraken
caldigit-docking-utility                 gitkraken-cli
[...]

and there is no --json option for this.

On the contrary, brew has many different subcommands, not only search and some do have a --json option...
