2026 14:30:40 -0400 Subject: [PATCH 02/12] fix(sync): require Windsurf hash freshness VALID (fixed): #1 -- Windsurf same-size/same-mtime SQLite rewrites need to compare the provider file_hash before taking skip-cache or stored-freshness shortcuts. Windsurf now uses a component-labeled content digest for state.vscdb, WAL/SHM, and workspace.json so the fingerprint is stable across roots while still moving when parsed source content changes. The sync freshness allowlist now requires that hash for Windsurf, matching the composite fingerprint contract. The commit also includes the repository hook's automatic Qoder slices.Backward modernization; without staging that generated fix, the pre-commit hook re-applies it and aborts before the Windsurf fix can be committed. --- internal/parser/qoder.go | 7 +- internal/parser/windsurf_provider.go | 16 ++- internal/parser/windsurf_provider_test.go | 26 +++++ internal/sync/engine.go | 2 +- internal/sync/windsurf_integration_test.go | 122 +++++++++++++++++++++ 5 files changed, 165 insertions(+), 8 deletions(-) diff --git a/internal/parser/qoder.go b/internal/parser/qoder.go index 63047a68a..2dae78214 100644 --- a/internal/parser/qoder.go +++ b/internal/parser/qoder.go @@ -5,6 +5,7 @@ import ( "fmt" "os" "path/filepath" + "slices" "sort" "strings" ) @@ -165,9 +166,9 @@ func DecodeQoderProjectDir(encoded string) string { } } } - The SSH resolver now emits the Windsurf import root separately from agent-scoped file records, so transfer can include only state.vscdb, WAL/SHM sidecars, and workspace.json while import keeps the same root metadata. This aligns the default SSH transport with the HTTP remote-sync file-scoped behavior and prevents dir-only Windsurf roots from being archived recursively. --- internal/remotesync/resolve.go | 5 +- internal/remotesync/resolve_test.go | 12 +++- internal/ssh/resolve.go | 100 +++++++++++++++++++++++----- internal/ssh/resolve_test.go | 47 ++++++++++--- internal/ssh/sync.go | 5 +- internal/ssh/transfer.go | 22 ++++-- internal/ssh/transfer_test.go | 21 +++++- 7 files changed, 174 insertions(+), 38 deletions(-) diff --git a/internal/remotesync/resolve.go b/internal/remotesync/resolve.go index dc82b454f..0c46fee3e 100644 --- a/internal/remotesync/resolve.go +++ b/internal/remotesync/resolve.go @@ -142,7 +142,10 @@ func resolveWindsurfFiles(workspaceRoot string) []string { func regularRemoteSyncFile(path string) bool { info, err := os.Lstat(path) - return err == nil && info.Mode().IsRegular() + if err != nil { + return false + } + return info.Mode().IsRegular() } func providerDiscoveredPath(source parser.SourceRef) string { diff --git a/internal/remotesync/resolve_test.go b/internal/remotesync/resolve_test.go index a9cec42e2..5a6896999 100644 --- a/internal/remotesync/resolve_test.go +++ b/internal/remotesync/resolve_test.go @@ -203,7 +203,7 @@ func TestResolveTargetsMatchesSSHResolverForRepresentativeHome(t *testing.T) { cmd.Env = []string{"HOME=" + home, "AIDER_DIR=" + aiderRoot, "DEVIN_DIR=" + devinDir} out, err := cmd.CombinedOutput() require.NoError(t, err, "ssh resolver output: %s", out) - sshDirs, sshExtra := ssh.ParseResolvedTargetsForTest(string(out)) + sshDirs, sshFiles, sshExtra := ssh.ParseResolvedTargetsWithFilesForTest(string(out)) goTargets := remotesync.ResolveTargets(config.Config{ AgentDirs: map[parser.AgentType][]string{ @@ -221,11 +221,17 @@ func TestResolveTargetsMatchesSSHResolverForRepresentativeHome(t *testing.T) { assert.NotContains(t, sshDirs, parser.AgentDevin) assert.NotContains(t, goTargets.Dirs, parser.AgentDevin) assert.ElementsMatch(t, sshDirs[parser.AgentAider], goTargets.Dirs[parser.AgentAider]) - assert.ElementsMatch(t, []string{windsurfWorkspaceRoot}, sshDirs[parser.AgentWindsurf]) - assert.ElementsMatch(t, []string{windsurfUserRoot}, goTargets.Dirs[parser.AgentWindsurf]) + assert.ElementsMatch(t, []string{windsurfUserRoot}, sshDirs[parser.AgentWindsurf]) + assert.ElementsMatch(t, sshDirs[parser.AgentWindsurf], goTargets.Dirs[parser.AgentWindsurf]) + assert.ElementsMatch(t, []string{ + windsurfStateDB, + windsurfWorkspaceJSON, + }, sshFiles[parser.AgentWindsurf]) assert.ElementsMatch(t, []string{ windsurfStateDB, windsurfWorkspaceJSON, }, goTargets.Files[parser.AgentWindsurf]) + assert.ElementsMatch(t, sshFiles[parser.AgentWindsurf], goTargets.Files[parser.AgentWindsurf]) + assert.NotContains(t, sshDirs[parser.AgentWindsurf], windsurfWorkspaceRoot) assert.ElementsMatch(t, sshExtra, goTargets.ExtraFiles) } diff --git a/internal/ssh/resolve.go b/internal/ssh/resolve.go index 20b4b68e1..40fd86ee1 100644 --- a/internal/ssh/resolve.go +++ b/internal/ssh/resolve.go @@ -14,6 +14,10 @@ import ( // is not a valid agent type, so parseResolvedDirs routes it separately. const resolveFilePrefix = "@file" +// resolveAgentFilePrefix marks lines that name an agent-scoped file to +// transfer without recursively archiving that agent's root directory. +const resolveAgentFilePrefix = "@agentfile" + const resolveRecordSep = "\x00" func aiderSkipDirCasePattern() string { @@ -74,12 +78,38 @@ func buildAiderResolveSnippet(envVar string) string { func buildResolveScript() string { var b strings.Builder b.WriteString( - "av_emit_target() { " + + "av_emit_agent_file() { " + + "agent=\"$1\"; Current main changed that private helper's return shape, so the PR merge ref failed to compile even though the branch alone still built. Seed the initial row through SyncAll and derive the old hash-scoped skip-cache key from stored session metadata instead. That keeps the test focused on Windsurf freshness behavior and avoids coupling it to writeBatch internals. --- internal/sync/windsurf_integration_test.go | 54 +++++++++++----------- 1 file changed, 27 insertions(+), 27 deletions(-) diff --git a/internal/sync/windsurf_integration_test.go b/internal/sync/windsurf_integration_test.go index dbce2bed0..8cbf2d223 100644 --- a/internal/sync/windsurf_integration_test.go +++ b/internal/sync/windsurf_integration_test.go @@ -82,19 +82,9 @@ func TestProcessFileWindsurfSameMtimeHashChangeReparses(t *testing.T) { }) defer engine.Close() - first := engine.processFile(context.Background(), parser.DiscoveredFile{ - Path: virtualPath, - Agent: parser.AgentWindsurf, - }) - require.NoError(t, first.err) - require.Len(t, first.results, 1) - require.Len(t, first.results[0].Messages, 2) - assert.Equal(t, "Alpha reply", first.results[0].Messages[1].Content) - initialMtime := first.results[0].Session.File.Mtime - initialHash := first.results[0].Session.File.Hash - require.NotZero(t, initialMtime) - require.NotEmpty(t, initialHash) - writeSyncWindsurfResult(t, engine, first) + initialMtime, initialHash := syncInitialWindsurfSession( + t, engine, "hash-session", + ) infoBefore, err := os.Stat(dbPath) require.NoError(t, err) @@ -107,7 +97,14 @@ func TestProcessFileWindsurfSameMtimeHashChangeReparses(t *testing.T) { "test must keep size stable so hash is the only freshness signal") if tt.seedCache { - engine.cacheSkip(first.cacheKey, initialMtime) + engine.cacheSkip( + providerProcessCacheKeyWithHash( + virtualPath, + parser.AgentWindsurf, + parser.SourceFingerprint{Hash: initialHash}, + ), + initialMtime, + ) } if tt.freshSync { engine.Close() @@ -162,21 +159,24 @@ func updateSyncWindsurfStateDB(t *testing.T, dbPath, payload string) { require.NoError(t, err) } -func writeSyncWindsurfResult(t *testing.T, engine *Engine, result processResult) { +func syncInitialWindsurfSession( + t *testing.T, + engine *Engine, + sessionID string, +) (int64, string) { t.Helper() - require.Len(t, result.results, 1) - written, _, failed := engine.writeBatch( - []pendingWrite{{ - sess: result.results[0].Session, - msgs: result.results[0].Messages, - usageEvents: result.results[0].UsageEvents, - forceReplace: result.forceReplace, - }}, - syncWriteDefault, - false, + stats := engine.SyncAll(context.Background(), nil) + require.Equal(t, 1, stats.Synced) + sess, err := engine.db.GetSessionFull( + context.Background(), "windsurf:"+sessionID, ) - require.Equal(t, 0, failed) - require.Equal(t, 1, written) + require.NoError(t, err) + require.NotNil(t, sess) + require.NotNil(t, sess.FileMtime) + require.NotNil(t, sess.FileHash) + require.NotZero(t, *sess.FileMtime) + require.NotEmpty(t, *sess.FileHash) + return *sess.FileMtime, *sess.FileHash } func windsurfSyncPayload(sessionID, assistant string) string { From e650e310719b5fc0db54f8bc9e5596890c748c1b Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Wes McKinney Date: Tue, 7 Jul 2026 18:49:55 -0400 Subject: [PATCH 11/12] fix(ssh): protect tar file-list paths VALID (fixed): #1 -- SSH tar path-list mode could treat a dash-leading relative archive input as a tar option.
