Jukebox Support

TLDR: Are you planing on supporting jukebox mode?

More context:

I really would love to stream audio to satellites. And while Airplay or Chromecast would be nice - they are a closed systems and so not really a great option. Following the discussion here:

navidrome/navidrome#3539

snapcast could be a really cool solution.

Now spapcast could be implemented purely on the client - but also on the server. And while I would love to help to get this going on the server, the lack of a decent client with jukebox support was the showstopper for me.

What are your thoughts on this? Do you see flo support jukebox mode in the future?
Would you rather see client or server support for it?

never use the navidrome’s jukebox mode myself but i think this will be one of the killer feature!

There are a couple of different ways to go about this.

Option 1)

flo could send (I think it needs to be raw PCM data) to the snapserver.
(Which isn't such a great idea IMO. I remember airplay1 doing this and it wasn't always pretty.)

Option 2)

Or navidrome could push the audio to the snapserver (that is ideally running on the same server).
And the snapserver would then distribute it to the clients.
In this case flo would just need to act as a remote.

I have the feeling option 2) might need some cleanup in navidrome - but in theory this should already work.
Question is how to integrate the "remote mode" into flo.
