Mouse Keys warping not working on Preonic

I recently updated the Keyboardio Preonic firmware to Chrysalis-Firmware-Bundle 0.92.8+124, using chrysalis.keyboard.io (Chrysalis 2025.0809.2112) and none of the Mouse Keys warping functionality is working over USB or Bluetooth connectivity to M1 MacBook Air and MacBook Pro.

Pressing any of the keys mapped to Mouse Warping has no effect. All other Mouse Keys functionality appear to work successfully. Only the warping functionality is not working.

I've tried all of the following with no effect:

• updating the firmware bundle using Chrysalis multiple times.
• changing the warp grid size in preferences from 2x2, to 3x3, and back to 2x2.
• updated the layout and saved changes multiple times.
• updated the firmware and within Chrysalis and selected Factory Reset.

I appreciate the report. I suspect that this is related to the fixes we've been working on to fix regular mouse button support. It's starting to look like supporting regular mousing and mouse warp over bluetooth might not be plausible.

Interesting. Before the latest firmware update I was experiencing a problem where none of the mouse keys were working over Bluetooth, but they were working okay over USB. I don't recall if I tested warping before the update. After the update, I was pleasantly surprised to find basic mouse movements, buttons, and scrolling working over both Bluetooth and USB.

Let me know if there's any debugging or additional information that may help further. I've played around with compiling and debugging the firmware for the Model 100 and Atreus (mostly to tweak Qukeys for home row mods), but haven't yet done that with Preonic.

@obra, FYI, I'm getting inconsistent results now. Occasionally, warping is working. If I disconnect the keyboard and reconnect it, warping will either work or not until I disconnect and reconnect the keyboard again.

Let me know if you have any ideas for obtaining more info.

UPDATE: After more experimentation, the difference in behavior appears to be related to whether I connect the Preonic keyboard to my Mac via USB with the power switch ON vs OFF.

When the Preonic power switch is the OFF position and connected via USB, most functionality works and Mouse Key Warping is broken until I disconnect the keyboard, power it on, and then reconnect via USB or pair via Bluetooth. This behavior is consistent and reproducible. I'm using Chrysalis-Firmware-Bundle 0.92.8+124.
