First off, i love this feature you've built! I do have some feedback if you dont mind:
I believe stating "This site has app functionality" defeats the purpose. It isn't really how creators want their users to perceive a PWA. Talking for myself, I want users to feel like its an actual app, not a website in app form. this textbox breaks that magic even more than Apple's UX-obstacles already are. so.. is that textbox really neccesary at all? It would be cleaner without it (same as chrome)
I see in some of your other messages that you seem keen on maintaining the "main browser" instruction. If you do keep it, then please change "main browser" to just "browser". Especially the "main" part seems to confuse people. And ideally, if a user is already in the browser, do not show this step at all. (Or just leave it as a whole and let instagram users and such figure it out for themselves :P)
The install instructions honestly seem a little awkward. We should want them quick and snappy. It seems you are aiming to cover every single use case, which makes the instructions a little unclear. I'd much prefer simpler instructions for 80% users above complex ones for 100% of them. However, here's a quick sketch on how you could improve legibility and cleanness, while covering support for all use cases you seem to want to cover:
I hope you're willing to consider these changes. Let me know if I can help with anything!
