Feature Request: Panel Icon Notification Badges

There's been some discussion in the Cinnamon repo about supporting the usual per-app notification badges for e.g. Slack, Discord, and various e-mail clients:

Including a Pull Request for the Grouped Window List that implements the feature:

Because it's such an essential feature for quickly noticing and responding to important messages, I was really glad to see it was being talked about there - it would be wonderful to see this feature in the Cassia Window List as well!

Personally, I prefer Cassia over the stock Grouped Window List for its customizability. It'd be great if it were possible to choose from the settings which corner the window count and notification badge appear in, and what colours they each use.

The PR in the cinnamon repo finally got merged!

The feature is also listed in the blog post for Mint 22.3 ("per-app panel notification indicators").

The PR included some changes to messageTray.js and notificationDaemon.js to accomodate the changes, hopefully that'll make things easier for Cassia as well!

Sorry... I have been preoccupied with working on Blur Cinnamon of late. I also hope that Cinnamon 6.6 allows me to enable more effects in Burn My Windows. But I do plan on doing some Cassia work before too long.
