Temperature gauge gradients incorrect on macOS 26 + python3.12

Hi,
since I updated to the latest macOS (Tahoe 26.2) the temperature gauges are not rendered correctly. They use gradients for the background, shadow and indicator - and they just have a solid colour now.

• I checked the code and it should be correct, and it worked in the past.
• I tested wxPython version 4.2.2 and 4.2.4. The result is the same. The cause is probably not a change they made.

I will open an issue at wxPython, because I don't believe we can do anything about this here. Might be a change in the operating system.

That didn't look nice.
I test it on my side for Windows with latest updates for all packages (and Python 3.14). No problems here. So indeed, it seems to be related to macOS 26.
Btw, do macOS support py3.14? I'm just preparing a change for adding py3.14. I test it since the last two weeks here and it seems to be good.

Edit: Just came into mind, is it maybe a dark mode problem?

Oooh, actually this only happens with Python 3.12. With 3.13 and 3.14 the gradients are rendered correctly!

Yes on the first glance 3.14 works fine. I will test it in the coming weeks.

Good idea, but no, that does not influence it.

@rockstorm101 No there is not yet a fix for this.

I just tested the artefacts for Printrun 2.3.0:
The apple silicon version built with python 3.13 does not have the bug.
The intel version built with python 3.11 is showing this bug.
