Need a way to hide/split screen & stream in background

I just tested this in a new Jaecoo J5 EV and it worked great once connected. The J5 has a big vertical screen, so I was hoping to at least be able to split screen and have youtube playing on the bottom and satnav or the standard Android auto or car display on top. This didn't seem possible nor was I able to keep the youtube video playing in the background.
Not sure if this was due to the cars new system or the vertical screen maybe.
Hoping this can be addressed in the near future, but it's a great start. Keep up the good work.
